Biography

Jamie received his BA (Hons) in English from the University of Strathclyde in 2013, and his MLitt in American Studies from the University of Glasgow the following year. He is currently in the second year of his AHRC-funded PhD in English Literature at the University of Glasgow.

Research and Teaching Interests

I’m interested in the contemporary novel and the ways in which novelists from the last few decades have engaged with the sciences of mind, brain, and body. My project considers how modern neuroscience has changed the way that novelists write about selfhood, madness, and authorship.
