Biography
Tom Nichols was educated at the Universities of York, London and East Anglia. He taught art history at the University of Aberdeen, before moving to Glasgow in 2013. In addition to his research interests in the medical humanities, he has published widely on Venetian Renaissance art.
Research and Teaching Interests
Visual depictions of poverty, disease and roguery. Previous research and collaborative activity has centred on the Early Modern Europe. Dr Nichols is planning a major new collaborative research project in the area of art, poverty and disease.
