Course Aims:
To continue the development of clinical skills through integrated experience, teaching, learning and assessment.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course:
Learning outcomes are expressed at three levels, following the example of the General Dental Council's "The First Five Years". These are:
Students should have a sound theoretical knowledge and understanding of the subject together with an adequate clinical experience to be able to resolve clinical problems encountered, independently or without assistance.
Students should have a sound theoretical knowledge of the subject but need have ony a limited clinical/practical experience
Students should have a basic understanding of the subject, but need not have direct clinical experience or be expected to carry out procedures independently.
Lectures engage with the medical humanities and disability studies.
